Cristian & Savannah

Last week I had the privilege of seeing Cristian and Savannah together before their long road trip across America. I feel privileged to know both of them. They were a joy to shoot! You know, when you can just tell two people are in love? That's Cristian & Sav. Taking photos was a breeze because of these two!

Here's a bit of the back story:

Cristian and I go way back-->2006ish to be exact. I met him at a Christian college group I used to attend in San Diego. Cristian, Frankie and I would stay up until the wee hours of the morning eating Mexican food while talking about God and life.

Savannah and I go past 2006ish but somehow have no memory of meeting one another. We both grew up in Okinawa, Japan and our parents remember us meeting one another, but somehow we do not. So for our side of the story, we meet in Muzienberg, South Africa and traveled the world with 11 women taking photos, creating a book, and building a friendship that brought us back to Okinawa and across states. 

As Savannah and I kept in touch, so did Cristian and I. Cristian told me he was going to Portland at some point and I thought to myself, "Savannah and him have to get in touch!" Mind you I had no idea each person thought the other was drop dead gorgeous. I was thinking, "Sav likes soccer, so does Cristian. And who better to show you around a city you've never been to than adventurous Sav?" Hence fate would have it, the two never stopped talking after the trip, were soon a couple, and dating long distance. 

p.s. My two friends just got engaged two days after this photo session! Love you guys! Here's to a lifetime of adventure & joy together!
